Welcome to Lift Callowell Primary Academy.
At Callowell, we are an inclusive and caring primary school dedicated to nurturing, inspiring, and ensuring every child thrives. Following our recent Ofsted inspection in July 2026, our school is in a strong position across all areas—reflecting our relentless commitment to maintaining consistently high standards in everything we do.
Set within beautiful, spacious grounds, Callowell offers fantastic facilities, an outstanding staff team, and a broad, exciting curriculum. We also host a thriving pre-school welcoming children from age two.
We pride ourselves on being just the right size: big enough to offer rich opportunities, yet personal enough to truly know every child and family in our community.
As we look to the future, we are excited to be moving into LIFTschools, a successful and ambitious academy trust that shares our drive for educational excellence and high aspirations for every pupil.
Since taking up my post in July 2024, I have been immensely proud of the dedication, skill, and heart of our team. We are deeply proud of the quality of education, care, and community we offer here every day.

At Jumping CallowellPreschool, we offer care and education for all children aged 2 to 4 years 11 months in a safe, fun, caring learning environment where they can explore, grow and shine.
Our trust is made up of 57 primary, secondary and special schools, educating more than 33,000 pupils across the country – from Middlesbrough in the north to Devon in the west, Essex in the east and the Isle of Wight in the south. The majority of our schools are rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
